Policies & Governance

South Colac Sports Club is affiliated with the AFL and Netball Victoria and aligns our expectations with their policies and guidelines.

 

In addition, the Club maintains its own set of by-laws and internal policies, developed to reflect our unique values, operations, and community standards.
 

 

These complement the broader AFL and Netball Victoria frameworks, ensuring that all members, players, and associates understand and uphold the principles that make our Club safe, inclusive, and well-governed.

 

Codes of Expectation

Having all our players, supporters, families and members feeling included and safe in our club environment is of paramount importance to us.

We ask that you contribute to this by:

  • Helping create a positive atmosphere for everyone by showing respect and courtesy toward players, officials and spectators.

  • Being responsible and accountable for your behaviour.

  • Refraining from using bad language, harassing or ridiculing others or behaving in a threatening or violent manner.

  • Contributing to club operations by undertaking your club duties when rostered eg. Canteen, time keeping, or arranging a swap if necessary.

  • Wearing our club colours with pride.

  • Having fun and supporting all our teams in their premiership endeavours!

Child Safegaurding

South Colac Sports Club is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in our care.

We seek to promote and protect the rights of all children in our care and prevent abuse from occurring by fostering a child safe culture.  All Victorian Leagues, Clubs and Associations that provide football and netball to children and young people will present environments and experiences that ensure they are safe.

Together with our Committee, players, staff, contractors, and volunteers (people), we have the responsibility to:

·       protect Children and Young People in our care from all forms of Child Abuse or Harm; and

·       create and maintain a child safe culture that is clearly understood, communicated, supported, and enacted
